Chan, Tho So & Duong, Vannaley - Corona, California

My husband is Chan Tho So. Last year when he went for an annual health check-up, the doctor said that he had kidney problems that required medical tests. During that time, I took him to Father Truong Buu Diep Foundation frequently to pray for him. My husband is Cambodian, he truly believes in Father Diep. He has had a good impression about Father Diep since he was a child because he knew that Father Diep had lived in the same area that he shares for a hometown. He tells me that he prays to Father Diep in Cambodian and that Father Diep understands everything he says.
Then the doctor referred my husband for a biopsy. When he came home from his biopsy, my husband was bleeding profusely and had difficulty breathing. My son noticed this and called to tell me while I was at work. When I arrived at home, he appeared pale and bloodless. I called 9-1-1 so he could receive emergency medical assistance. The doctors at the hospital said that if I had waited 3 to 4 hours that he might not have been saved. The doctors requested that I sign an agreement to allow my husband to be operated on, but they advised us that his chances of success were 50/20. I called to my daughter in Arizona. My daughter pleaded with me to sign the papers agreeing to the doctors’ treatment otherwise he would surely die. So I signed.
Before entering the operation room, he said weakly to me: “I do not wish to die yet, please pray for me, and please pray to Father Diep for me please.” The operation lasted two and a half hours. During the entire time of my waiting, I had a picture of Father Diep in my hand and I prayed non-stop. Finally when the doctors came out, they informed me that the operation was complete and that my husband was still in critical condition. The doctors said that if my husband doesn’t regain consciousness in the next three days that it would be almost impossible to treat him any further. Hearing this, my nieces and nephews remained at the hospital while my daughter ran to Father Truong Buu Diep Foundation to pray to him and as for his help. I begged for a picture of Father Diep from the Foundation to take back to my husband and place at his head on a pillow. My family took turn to watch over him at his bedside 24 hours a day.
On the third day, the doctors came to his bedside and called to my husband: “Chan Tho, wake up! Chan Tho, wake up!” Suddenly I saw his hand move slightly. That’s when I knew that Father Diep had answered my prayers. Then his eyes slowly opened, and then closed again. The doctors said to me: “Your husband is regaining consciousness. He seems okay now, don’t worry too much!” After a few minutes, he opened his eyes wide. The doctors pointed to each of us in the room and asked him if he knew who we were. We all clapped our hands with joy as he was able to identify each person. During the entire three weeks that he was in the hospital, I kept a picture of Father Diep under my husband’s pillow. The nurses asked me who it was in the picture, I said that it was a picture of a saint that saved my husband’s life. Knowing this, the nurses always returned Father Diep under my husband’s pillow after changing the covers.
We have known of Father Diep for a very long time, but we have only recently been to the Truong Buu Diep Foundation office. We had learned of the Foundation’s address through a radio program. We remember the first time that we entered the Foundation, we felt like a strong breeze overcoming us with a chill. That time, I prayed for my husband, and also prayed for my son. My son suffers from severe depression. But after I started praying to Father Diep, my son agreed to seek professional treatment, and he started joining us in family activities. Now he is almost normal again. Father Diep also blessed my daughter too.
When my daughter and her husband came back to California from Arizona to visit her father, she lost her job after being here for nearly half a year. My daughter went to Father Diep’s Foundation and prayed several times. Recently, she was interviewed and hired to a new job. Father Diep had saved my husband, and blessed my son and daughter. That is why I wish to share my story, first to give thanks, and also to spread the message
about Father Diep’s miracles so that everyone can pray to him in their time of need
Daily Blessing
