I have a son-in-law by the name of Nguyen Van Thang presently residing in Michigan. Last December 2015, my son was diagnosed with liver cancer. Only six months later, his condition deteriorated. He had 6 tumors, he could not eat, his skin began to turn yellow. The doctors treated him with all sorts of procedures, including chemotherapy but to no avail. Finally, they told my son that he only had six months to live and we were to take him home and prepare for his passing.
Regardless, the doctors decided to perform one final test to see if the chemotherapy had any effect and they put him on a waiting list for liver transfer.
We went to pray everywhere. When the results of the test came back, the doctors informed us that my son must have a transplant within the next ten days otherwise he would not survive. At that point, my son’s body was orange like an orange and his abdomen swelled up. We were so sad, all we could do was cry every time we looked at him. As his relatives we began to prepare for his funeral. It was not until May of 2016 when we had no other recourse did we remember about Father Truong Buu Diep.
Because it was so far away, so I called to a younger sister living in Santa Ana, California and asked her to go to Father Diep’s Foundation in Garden Grove to pray for Father Diep to save my son. Two days after we prayed to Father Diep, I received news from the hospital that my son made it onto a waiting list for a liver transplant. We continued to pray.
It was truly unbelievable! Only seven hours after my son was put on a waiting list, they announced that he had a liver ready to transplant. The liver was transported expeditiously by helicopter to the hospital. The liver transplant operation lasted 7 hours. So, in a matter of 14 hours, my son’s life was saved. Even the doctors at the hospital said this was a miracle, and everything went perfectly. We knew that it was the Hand of God that performed this miracle. Everyone in my family and all my friends believed that it was Father Truong Buu Diep mediating on our behalf, through his prayers God showed his love to us and saved my son.
July 4th was a Monday, my son went back to work on Tuesday. Everyone was so happy for him! I called to talk to my daughter and she told me that my son-in-law was still very tired the first few weeks that he went back to work. He ate and slept a lot. But just yesterday before my husband and I flew to California to thank Father Diep, my daughter phoned to me and said that her husband was getting better day by day.
Even more important than God saving my son’s life was that all my children has now returned to worshipping God. When my son came back from the hospital, I had given him a picture of Father Truong Buu Diep and said to him: “Do you believe that it was Father Diep that intervened on your behalf so that God may save your life?” He nodded and confirmed his belief and he cried passionately. I told him that if he understood this, he should always show his respect for Father Diep who prayed for him.
Today we are here, at Father Diep’s Foundation, to be a witness and to pronounce the miracles that God had granted us through our prayers to Father Diep. In fact, we had known Father Diep for over 10 years, but he had never come before him until my family had problems, then we ran to him to pray. With the Truong Buu Diep Foundation, we incidentally found out about it by watching Youtube, and we have a younger sibling that lived in California that told us more about Father Diep. Now we are here to give thanks to Father Diep.
God had granted us our prayers because Father Diep mediated on our behalf. We had asked for Father Diep to help my son and his miraculous recovery is testament to the saintliness of Father Diep. We have to have faith in our heart when we pray and to patient. Sooner or later, Father Diep will show his love and help us.
