“Father awakened and enlightened me”
I became involved in a legal issue that I thought might land me in prison for some 10 years. Actually, I was innocent in the matter. I had traveled across state lines with a friend, when we were pulled over, I was driving, I did not know what was going on. After the police searched our car, they discovered several thousand hundred dollars in cash and an AK shot gun. Because my friend’s fingerprints were on this gun, so my friend had to go to jail and I was charged with conspiracy, awaiting trial. This caused my wife tremendous worries. She found a newspaper printing of people’s thank you notes to Father Truong Buu Diep and so she started praying to Father Diep.
On the day of my court date, I told my wife, I think I will have to go to jail, there was no avoiding it. I came in front of the court, Father Truong Buu Diep and Mother Mary was on my mind. Then I prayed silently: “Dear Father, please save me, please give me peace, please help me overcome.”Then the judge allowed my attorney and I to go outside and consult for 5 minutes. Outside, the attorney said to me: “I don’t think I can save you.”
Back in the court room, I did not see any “light at the end of the tunnel”, I kept my head down and kept praying to Father Diep: “Dear Father, please save me, please save me.” Then I received an unexpected verdict, I was to pay $5,000 USD in fine but no prison time.
My wife fell on her knees and cried out: “Thank you Father, thank you Father.” It was truly a miracle. My wife converted to Catholicism after me but she was more pious. Maybe that is why her prayers are answered.
I have known of Father Diep for a long time now but I guess “we don’t remember Father Diep until perils befallen us”. When I am hopeless, that is when I beg Father for his help. Father Diep awakened and enlightened me. Since I received his blessings, I respect and love him more. Now I truly believe that we must have faith to be blessed. I tell everyone about the personal blessing that Father Diep had bestowed upon me, I wish to be his witness. I advise everyone to go to Father Diep whenever they are in trouble. As the saying goes: “we abandon Father Diep, he doesn’t abandon us.”
