”When I pray to Father Diep, I feel peace in my heart”

On my day of citizenship exam, I prayed to Father Diep:  “Dear Father, please let me meet with a nice person because I am very nervous, I can’t remember the answer to anything.”  When I got led into the interview room, my mind was empty.  The first question that they asked me, I could not understand what they were saying because I was so nervous, I continued to pray to Father Diep quietly:  “Dear Father, please help me.”  No sooner had I prayed, I suddenly burst out the answer that I couldn’t even remember to this very day what I had said, all I remember was the interviewer replying:  “Good, good!”  Then I regained my composure and was answer the next few questions adequately.  I passed my citizenship exam!

About five, six years ago, my older sister told me that she had liver disease.  When her abdomen had swollen up already, our family took her to the hospital in Saigon but the doctors told us to take her home because it was too late to treat her.  I had prayed to Father Diep to save my sister from her disease.  My younger sister in Canada also prayed to Father Diep for her.  When the end was near, we did know what else to do but to run to Father Diep.  Yet, Father saved my older sister.  Her swollen abdomen subsided.  Her health improved gradually and to this day, she has returned to work regularly and is active normally.

I am a Buddhist.  When I was still in Vietnam, I noticed that every house had a picture of Father Diep so I was curious and asked myself:  “Who was this man, and why does everyone worship him!”  Back in America, one of my two children fell ill.  The neighbor who was older than me said that I should pray to Father Truong Buu Diep because he is very holy, and he does miracles.  That was when I realized the reason why everyone in Vietnam worshipped Father Diep.  Other than that, I also read many thank you notes to Father Diep published in the newspapers.  That is when I started praying for my older sister, my child and for myself.

I go online to Youtube every day and I scan for the Father Diep’s Blessing Program to see if there are any new clips for me to watch. I asked the Father Truong Buu Diep Foundation for pictures of Father Diep and they sent me three.  Two of the pictures I keep in my purse and one I place in my car.  Although the three pictures are the same, the picture of Father Diep that I keep in my car glows with a pink color, as if it was the flesh-color of a living person, not of a picture.  My children also know of Father Diep, they pray to him often.

When I am sad, and I don’t feel at ease, I pray to Father Diep and feel peace and comfort in my heart.  I pray that Father Diep would give me an opportunity to visit him in California and be a witness for him, this time my wish came true.  I am here at Father Diep’s Foundation to visit him and to share my testimony so that more and more people will know of Father Diep each day.
